Red Team USA's Cyber Security Seminars and Workshops are held in conjunction with a nationwide awareness campaign conducted by U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the Security National
Cyber Security Alliance.
Colorado Newspapers report that Red Team USA’s
Cyber Security team leader,
Nicholas P. Krut, MSSE, CNE, CSSA,
has developed several concise 60-minute
interactive PowerPoint program that explains - in layman terms - how your
business can thrive in during the Cyber War.
Cyber Security Scientist
Krut states:
“It’s formally acknowledged
by the US Geo-strategists that there is an ongoing Cyber War. Almost
every day, the Wall Street Journal’s front page presents an article
about small and large businesses being hacked, ID theft, Intellectual
Property stolen, or about businesses folding because of Cyber Security
Complacency. In all of these cases, ignorance about Cyber
Security is not golden, it's really, really tragic.”
"We
have arrived at a critical moment in the Information Age. There’s a real
evil afoot, and we are truly embarking on a Brave New World
experience. Computer viruses have evolved and are now known as MALWARE
programs. They are designed to specifically target your
business - this is a process called Spear Phising. Antivirus & anti-Spyware programs
cannot protect you from these specifically designed Cyber Theft processes
- Antivirus
& anti-Spyware programs
are only part of a multi-layered protection solution.”
"However,
there's hope because
there are hybrid processes we know of, and
implement, to protect you so you do not become a Collateral
Damage Victim
in the ongoing Cyber War."
- Far gone are the days of simple AOL and Hotmail emailing and innocent
Internet Explorer web-surfing and viewing. The internet is now
populated by Cyber Criminals and their robots (bots). Those bots are
relentlessly combing the internet looking for unsuspecting computers and
networks to enter and compromise.
-
The internet hooked up to any computer is an open door and opportunity for
bots to slip-in and either kill a computer, or seed itself inside, then
quietly let the cyber criminals steal information by remote control.
-
Who are these Cyber Criminals? They are well-organized hi-tech crime
syndicates, most harbored on the other side of the world. They will either
destroy a computer, or they will steal information to fill their own pockets
and/or the coffers of America’s enemies.
-
Steps companies and individuals can take to protect themselves during this
Cyber Crime Wave and Cyber War.
